Ananyashree Tea Estate is located in the non-traditional tea growing area of Terai in Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal. Terai literally means “low lying land”. The region is located near the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in the North eastern part of India. The regional topography is generally flat with a gentle southerly slope towards which the main rivers like Kuli, Nagar, Mahananda. The District forms a part of the basin lying between Rajmahal hills on the east. Uttar Dinajpur is bestowed with a very fertile soil.

Acquired by Jayshree Tea and Industries in 1991, The first plantation of this garden started in the year 1991 when section viz. Hamidbari was planted. The further area was added subsequently by planting of latest quality clones. The garden now consists of four divisions viz., Kalanagin, Sabudanga, Pokharia and Chaman. In the year 2000, a factory with state of the art technology and machineries was commissioned to produce top quality CTC tea in perfectly hygienic and eco-friendly atmosphere. The garden has provided gainful direct and indirect and is active in social activities in the area. As a result of its efforts, today Ananyashree Tea Estate produces the finest teas available from the Terrai region in India.

The garden location is well connected with the rest of the state through National Highways, State Highways and Railways. NH-31 and NH-34 pass through the heart of the district. Nearest township is Islampur. Nearest railway station is Aluabari, which is 18 km. away and the nearest airport terminal is Bagdogra, which is 72 km. away.
